There is a long story and a short story to everything. I think today is short story time. The lady and I are no longer, and thus, my tenure at the farm is over. No more coyotes in the back pasture, no more cows eating the apples, no more salmon spawning in the creek, no more Abberdoodle.
I was going to write “No more Aberdoodle killing moles.” or “.. disappearing for 3 hours while hunting whatever” but the fact is this: Very little Poodle in my life. I swung by to get the almost-to-the-last of my stuff and Abby ignored me. I started loading out things and she followed me out, but stayed put until my car door was open and hopped up.
I told her to get down, but she just stared at me, and curled up and laid down, head buried and facing the other way.
We drove on a flat tire to the gas station, aired up enough to go to the Tire store, and took my dearest to whole foods, where we ate pizza and apples. She loves apples. We then had coffee and sat in the sun where she took to task a chew toy. We drove home and I dropped her off.
Here is what I have been listening to. Underworld’s “Dirty Epic”. Good moody tune to sing along with. This is about half of the song. Easy to buy if you want the rest.
“Sweet in winter sweet in rain
shake well before use she said,
You never touch me anymore this way”
This is a very cool idea. Take your old, crotch numbing and “this little piggy got hypothermia” inflicting wet protecters and send them to Recycled Waders. They will take them, and for a fee, will turn them into a messenger bag, a wallet or a banana hammock bikini string brief. I wonder if they can make me panniers for my bike?
I hope not. This video takes the cake though. Off-topic, and the music sucks, but what can you do.
This is in Spain, a disintegrating trail where a trail should not be and a person who has mucho faith is taking a stroll. Trudging the road of happy destiny. Or not.
All you do is pick a hand-full of JAMS, set your levels and go. Some days it is just that easy. Today was that day.
This mix clocks in around 30 minutes. 8 assertive, rockin’ out party tracks. I was thinking about the Flammable show last week, and when putting away my records I grabbed a couple I played and a couple more and jammed out for a bit. Does anybody play this fast either? I never play this fast, but jeesh, It just came out at me.
I played a little dark at rebar, and my feeling was I played a little too dark, but like Brian says “play how your feeling”. The relationship is over, I am trying to sort out a new home, my finances, my music ect. I played how I felt, and this mix continues with that feeling.
I am going to try something new too. Instead of putting out the tracklisting with the podcast, I will wait a week. My pea is thinking that less people listen if they know what to expect. I am guilty of that too. There is also the fact that some people will not listen unless they know what to expect. Guilty x2.
Maybe it all comes out in the wash.
The track listing has arrived.

2. Head Nodding Society – Nudge Up – Classic

Man, I have been slacking on putting this up for a while. I did this a few months ago for a show on My House -Your House radio
This mix is pretty rowdy. Dropping “Love will make it right” over the “Play that music” is one of those mixes I got attached to right off. I never had the balls to play it live, as it took a fairly quick mix to get out and I was always one of those “hold it till you pee” mixers. It took some control to only put two Ian Pooley mixes in this, I almost had 4 on it, but I narrowed them out. The final track, by Dj Drazil is a Seattle born classic from head to toe. Produced by the Jacob Londons, (You can find their version floating around too if you look) this track came out on the Eat House imprint of Carlos Miguel. I am releasing a few of Drazil’s track soon. He will be the second release on TKFL, and has both a couple classics and some incredible new tracks ready for release.
"The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side."
